Shabbat Service Greeters Needed in 2014 - Sign Up Now!

Second Shabbat

Shabbat Service Greeters Needed in 2014

Greeters are needed every Shabbat - 52 Friday evenings a year. Greeters  welcome guests at the front door of the building and at the  sanctuary door. A  smile, friendly attitude, and a willingness to show up 15 minutes before the  service starts and stay through the Oneg are all it takes to help in this significant way as we welcome members and guests.

Won't you commit now to at least one Friday a year? Do it for a loved one's yahrzeit, do it to commemorate a birthday or special occasion, do it to support a friend's b'nai mitzvah. Just do it because it's the right thing to do.

We're using the online scheduling website, VolunteerSpot, to schedule the
Shabbat Greeter Program for the entire year in advance. Click this link to go to our invitation page at http://vols.pt/7xTnUU - then enter your email address and choose your date(s) in 2014.

We thank you for your consideration as you choose to honor the mitzvah to welcome others into our synagogue!

Tu B'Shevat Tree

With the High Holiday season around the corner, now is a wonderful time to share our extraordinary community with your Jewish friends.

Do you find that you have developed relationships here that enrich your life?

Is second Shabbat your favorite Friday of the month?

Are you or the Har HaShem members you know experiencing a challenging, cutting-edge Jewish education?

Do our Youth Groups bring the teens you know opportunities for leadership, self-realization, lifelong friendships and a dedication to Tikkun Olam?

Is it simply a joy to share your unique Jewish identity with your Har HaShem family?

Are you proud of our Tikkun Olam work, such as being a leader in helping the homeless?

If your answer to any of these questions is YES - now is the time to introduce your Jewish friends to Har HaShem! Consider the role that Har HaShem plays in your life and the mitzvah of sharing the beautiful Jewish experience that Har HaShem brings.

Bring a friend to a service or activity. Put them in touch with Executive Director Gary Fifer for membership details - [email protected]g

Rose Community Foundation "Live On: Build Your Jewish Legacy Initiative" Comes to Har HaShem

Legacy Giving offers donors a way to protect the organizations and communities they love, while making a profound impact on future generations through a gift that will keep on giving in perpetuity.

Leaving a contribution to Har HaShem in your will is a wonderful way to help ensure its future for years to come without any impact to your current annual giving. We hope to build our endowment fund over time so that annual returns can be used to continue to serve our community for generations to come. This would provide a cushion of safety to smooth over any yearly fluctuations in resources due to emergencies, the economy or other adverse events.

Many of you have already included Har HaShem in your Estate Plan, and if you have - please contact Jane Stein at 303-247-0481, so that we may thank you and confirm that your wishes are documented. If you have any questions or want to know more, please contact Gary Fifer ([email protected]) or Jane at [email protected].

Volunteers Needed for Boulder's Jewish Goat Co-op

New shifts are available in Boulder's Jewish Goat Co-op. Concerned you have no experience milking? Not to worry. We train you! Har HaShem members Rabbi Ruthie Gelfarb, Anita Simon, and Yael Cohen are all members of the co-op and would love for more congregants to participate.
