Honoring Rabbi Bronstein with a Shabbat Morning of Song, Study, and  Food
 Saturday, October 12th
 9:30 AM - Noon

In October of this year and in spring 2014, there will be two events
recognizing and honoring Rabbi Bronstein in her new position as Rabbi
Emerita. These will be opportunities to take stock of the huge impact
she's had on our lives, on the life of this congregation and the Boulder
Jewish community - as well as to continue to learn and celebrate
alongside her.

The first of these events will be a Shabbat morning celebration on Oct. 12. The morning will feature several things that Rabbi Bronstein loves: talking with people, Shabbat morning prayer, studying Jewish texts, and eating traditional Jewish delicacies. Rabbi Bronstein will teach one of her favorite texts about the Prophet Elijah, and people will have a chance to study in smaller groups. This will be a beautiful way to honor her, to connect with others from the Congregation, to be inspired by some deep learning, and be sated with some delicious food. Join us for a powerful (and delicious) Shabbat morning.

9:30 a.m. Gather in the Social Hall for Coffee, Nosh, and Schmooze
10:00 a.m. Shabbat Music, Brief Prayers, and Teaching by Rabbi
Bronstein
10:50 a.m. Chevruta (small-group) Learning Based on Rabbi
Bronstein's Teaching
11:15 a.m. Conclusion to Text Study and Closing Ritual
11:30 a.m. Kiddush Luncheon in the Social Hall

Reservations are required online HERE. Donations of $18 per adult are appreciated. Childcare will be available. Register for the event and for childcare by Oct. 4.

The spring event will be a gala celebration and fundraiser to further the ideals Rabbi Bronstein helped us to bring to life. Watch for details.
