SKATE
It's not every day that you get to skate around the rink with help (if needed) from Bruins legends like Rick "Nifty" Middleton, Bob Sweeney, Terry O'Reilly, Bruce Crowder, and many more! For many families, the Free Skate (starting at noon this year) is what this event is all about. In addition to Bruins Alum, you'll get to hang with Bruins mascot Blades the Bear, the Bruins Ice Girls and the Worcester Sharks mascot Finz.

Then, it's game time! The overwhelming favorites, the Bruins Alumni - featuring all those greats you just shared the ice with - will face off against our own MDSC All Stars, made up of just regular guys who are at once realizing a sports fantasy while helping our Down syndrome community.

MEET LIAM AND JOHN ON SUNDAY

Congratulations to MDSC members Liam Fitzgerald and John Dunleavy, who joined Bruins broadcaster Dale Arnold and Boston Bruins Foundation Executive Director Bob "Swoop" Sweeney during intermission of the Bruins game Tuesday night. Liam and John have become superstars and amazing advocates for our community in their own individual way.

We are thrilled that Liam and John will be special guests at our game Sunday!

Coach Dunleavy

John started working in the Bruins front office through a vocational program at Winchester High School. He was subsequently hired on as a part-time employee. He does a range of administrative work and has become an invaluable member of the front office and beloved by the entire organization. John is regularly shown on the Jumbotron at Bruins games. Last year, John was asked by Coach Claude Julien to give a pep talk to the team before a game.

At our hockey game this year, John will coach the Bruins Alumni team for the second year in a row.

#Liam4DS, World Famous Fist-Bumper

Get your own fist bump from Liam Fitzgerald, the 8-year-old boy with Down syndrome who became a YouTube sensation. Footage of Liam, who has Down syndrome, getting fist bumps from the entire Boston Bruins team went viral last week. It now has more than 5 million views. Liam and his parents, Bill and Christine, attended our Annual Conference last year, and Liam's big brother, Nick Cavanna, played on the MDSC All Stars last year at our 9th Annual Charity Hockey Game.

Get your fist bump and photo in our #Liam4DS photo booth at the event.
