Bring your whole family
It's More than Just a Hockey Game!

The MDSC All-Stars are sharpening their skates once again to face-off against the Boston Bruins Alumni to benefit people with Down syndrome.

We invite you to root the All-Stars on during this yearly grudge match. Bring the whole family because you don't even have to be a skater to get in on the action.

This family-friendly event includes a Free Skate for novice and expert skaters alike and a meet and greet with Bruins legends where you can get their autographs. It all culminates with an action-packed game.

But that's not all - Don't miss your chance to win great holiday gifts at our Silent Auction and Raffle. See below for more details!

Note: You can even attend the event for FREE if you pre-registered for any of our Buddy Walks or if you wear a hockey jersey (your school team or the Bruins) to the game!

Not Your Average Free Skate

It's not every day that you get to skate around the rink with the likes of Rick "Nifty" Middleton, Bob Sweeney, Reggie Lemelin, Glen Featherstone, and many more! For many families, the Free Skate (starting at noon this year) is what this event is all about.

In addition to Bruins Alum, you'll get to hang with Bruins mascot Blades the Bear, Worcester Sharks mascot Finz, the Bruins Ice Girls and the "Clown Referee" Rick Cobban, a former clown with the Ringling Brothers and Barnum & Bailey circus.

National Anthem - A New Twist on an Old Tradition

We are very excited this year to have a new twist to what has become an MDSC tradition - MDSC self-advocates singing the National Anthem to launch our Alumni Hockey Game. Until now, we've always had a recorded backing for our singers, which has been good, but wait till you hear what we have in store this year.

Rising country singer (and Central Mass. native) Shanna Jackman will lead our Advocates in Motion singers in what promises to be best rendition yet. Jackman, a Milford native, was the lead singer in the band Not in Kansas before embarking recently on a solo career. She has opened up for artists such as Ronnie Dunn, Blake Shelton, Sara Evans, Gretchen Wilson, Dierks Bentley, Alan Jackson, Darryl Worley, Lee Brice, Collin Raye, Jo-Dee Messina and others!
