The American Institute of Architects Louisiana affiliate awarded two Honor Awards, 10 Merit Awards and one Members' Choice Award in its annual Design Awards competition. The awards were presented at the AIA Louisiana Design Conference Awards Luncheon, held in Lafayette on September 28.
A total of 70 design projects by architects throughout Louisiana were entered in the prestigious Design Competition.
Honor Award winners were Eskew+Dumez+Ripple of New Orleans and the Alexandria firm of Ashe Broussard Weinzettle Architects in conjunction with the Breaux Bridge firm of EnvironMental Design, which also won the Members' Choice Award.
Merit Award winners included the New Orleans firms of: Eskew+Dumez+Ripple, Sizeler Thompson Brown Architects, Jeffrey M. Stolier, Torre Design Consortium, Ltd., Wayne Troyer Architects, Waggonner & Ball Architects and John C. Williams, AIA Architects, along with Lafayette firm Architects Southwest, Breaux Bridge architect Edward J. Cazayoux, FAIA and the Hammond firm of Pistorius Associates.
