The Girls Coalition is supported by a
grant from the

Dear ,

On Thursday, June 13th we welcomed presenters and attendees to our Fifth Annual Girls Coalition Conference, generously hosted by The Ellis School.  We would like to say a special THANK YOU to all who presented, attended, provided support, and helped to make the day a great success!  We couldn't have done it without you!

If you attended the conference, you had the opportunity to hear from a panel of girl activists who are doing amazing work throughout our region.  One of these young women, Syrian-American student and activist, Laila Al-Soulaiman, will be a featured artist and activist in several upcoming events including Soup N'at and Global Solutions Pittsburgh Community Discussion.  Laila will continue her work to engage and educate the Pittsburgh community about the ongoing conflict in Syria.  Don't miss the opportunity to be part of these important conversations!

Sincerely,
Heather Mediate, Program Director
