The Connection:
MUUSJA News and Events

Minnesota UU Social Justice Alliance
Greetings!

Freedom to Marry is in the news! All eyes were on the US Supreme Court last week. And this week, we're learning that 50 current United States Senators now support marriage for all loving couples, and that the support is becoming bipartisan.

ClergySSL_SignBut we need to encourage the growing support for Freedom to Marry at the Minnesota Senate and House. Please join us on Thursday, April 18th for OutFront MN's LGBT Lobby Day in St. Paul. Our partners at MN United tell us we're close, but there is still work to do.

Your stories of love, commitment and family, told to legislators during Lobby Day really can make the difference!

We're also looking forward to a number of events both at the capitol and in our congregations on human rights, the environment, and more.

Your memberships and gifts help make our work together as UUs possible. Thank you!

Standing on the Side of Love
OutFront Lobby Day
Thursday, April 18
Minnesota State Capitol
75 MLK Blvd, St. Paul
Rally at Noon
Lobby visits and training throughout the day

OutFront Lobby Day is one of the largest events of its kind in the country, and the most important day for fair-minded Minnesotans to demonstrate their support for LGBT equality to their legislators each year. Join us this April 18th to share your stories of love and family.

Please RSVP to OutFront so that appointments can be made with your legislators. It is incredibly important that they hear from us, wether urban, suburban or greater MN, wether you think they are supporters or not, we need to stand - and speak! - on the side of love. Thank you.

Details are still pending on an interfaith worship service to wrap up the day. We'll update via muusja.org and facebook as more Lobby Day info is announced.
