Greetings!
Please join us Sunday, March 10th at our Spring MUUSJA Meeting! We're gathering at Unity Unitarian in St. Paul to have a timely and thought-provoking conversation about racial equity and our work as UUs to help close Minnesota's unacceptably high racial gap in employment.
It will be a very interesting afternoon! If you can't attend in person, we hope you'll join us online through our live-stream link. Lots of details below.
You may have also heard that bills are being introduced in the MN Legislature this week to affirmatively reate same-sex civil marriage in Minnesota! Very exciting news on top of the huge, successful Valentine's rally for Freedom to Marry.

St. Paul, MN 55104 Unity welcomes MUUSJA for our Spring Meeting! HIRE-MN organizer Avi Viswanathan (a Unity member) will present on the HIRE coalition, which MUUSJA is a part of and which has been working for more than three years to transform racial equity practices at some of the largest government agencies in the state, including MnDOT and the Met Council. And leaders from Unity will talk about their congregation's use of diversity goals during the Unity Tomorrow project and in large vendor contracts going forward. Wonderful news: at a morning press conference today, MN House and Senate authors announced that Freedom to Marry legislation will be formally introduced tomorrow, February 28th! There is much we can do to help realize same-sex civil marriage this year in Minnesota. Please join us this Sunday evening for UUs Out 4 Marriage Equality (UUO4ME), to connect to faith actions we can take as UUs to Stand on the Side of Love!  And, if you're ready to act:

Come join with fellow UUs from the eight states of our District to faithfully wrestle with these inspiring questions, worship together, learn in workshops, and participate in the discussions of the proposed move to regionalization.
