The Connection:
MUUSJA News and Events

Greetings!

The 2013 legislature is in session! Lobby days, rallies, and community events for many of the issues we UUs care about are coming in the weeks ahead.

We're building justice together, and you as our volunteers in action make our grassroots efforts possible. Please add these important events to your calendar and join us at the capitol, in a congregation, or out in the community! Thank you.

One last chance: our new member challenge grant closes very soon. New memberships and donations may be matched dollar for dollar by the UU Funding Program, so please join us as a member-contributor to MUUSJA.
Thank you!

Standing on the Side of Love

Valentine's Day is Freedom to Marry Day!
Thursday, February 14, 3:00-4:30pm
MN State Capitol Rotunda
75 Rev Dr Martin Luther King Jr Blvd.
Saint Paul, MN 55155

So many of us were surprised and overjoyed by the response to the constitutional amendment to block Freedom to Marry. NO! we Minnesotans said in November.

Now we say Yes. Yes, love and commitment matter. Yes, this is the time. Yes, faith speaks for Freedom to Marry. As the President said in his inaugural address: "If we are truly created equal, then surely the love we commit to one another must be equal as well."

Please RSVP to let organizers know you're coming. This helps us know who we can count on to help move freedom to marry forward. Parking is available, and carpooling or metro transit is encouraged!  More info from OutFront MN...
