"A Growing community making disciples who love and serve Christ and His world"

Dear  ,

Brian Baker

One of the benefits of serving in ministry with others is I sometimes get to hear how people's lives are transformed as they encounter Christ through their discipleship.   These stories are often inspiring and encouraging.  In an effort to share stories of transformation with a wider audience, I have asked some individuals to tell their stories in the context of the liturgy.  I am calling these stories "contemporary epistles" because they will take place before the reading of the gospel.  We will hear one this weekend.  Julie Sherman, a young woman who started attending Trinity a couple of years ago, will be talking briefly about how her life has been changed by Christ through her experiences at Trinity.  I am grateful for her willingness to speak in the context of our liturgy and I look forward to hearing her.  I hope you can join us.

Resources for Volunteers

Find you have some free time to volunteer, and there is nothing at Trinity that fits your time commitment or interests? Take a look at the Abraham's Tent offerings by joining them through meetup (www.meetup.com/MVP-Multifaith-Volunteer-Program-Abrahams-Tent-Sacramento/join) or by seeing one of Trinity's volunteers or the deacon (virginiamcneely@msn.com).

Another resource is www.handsonsacto.org. Both of these organizations offer one day volunteer activities where you can give to the community and meet interesting people.

Reflections Weekly Reflection

Trinity Cathedral parishioners are writing weekly reflections during the Season after Pentecost. These reflections remind us that stewardship involves more than our financial contributions. Stewardship is also about discovering our own calling to reflect the image of God into the world in which we find ourselves. This week's reflection:
