Easter Vigil
This year Easter Vigil falls on Saturday April 7th, it is always a festive time that features baptisms, confirmations and rededications. Hospitality at Trinity is the ministry of every member and the hospitality ministry team will again depend on finger food and desserts contributed by our members for the reception following services.
Please bring your food contributions to the Great Hall before services begin at 7:30 p.m. We need hosts to arrive by 6:30 pm to set up and plate the food. We need another group of hosts to remain a few minutes following the reception to clean up the area. Services normally run two hours so clean up should begin around 9:30 pm. Many hands make work light so the more volunteers the easier the tasks.
We anticipate your response will be generous and loving as in the past and we thank you in advance for your participation. |

Listening Campaign
We plan to launch a large listening campaign with a goal to find an issue that is of concern to the majority of our church community and than work to make that change. We need interested people who would be willing to come to a training session on April 10 and than make a commitment to talk to 5 people for the next 5 weeks. We have worked hard to plan and organize our campaign and have included input and support from clergy and the Vestry. If you enjoy spending 30 to 40 minutes talking to someone regarding what is on their minds and hearts, we encourage you to come and join us. We plan to have completed our campaign by the end of May and than report back to the congregation with the results.
Training date, time and location: Tuesday, April 10 from 6:30 to 8:00 PM at the Sacramento Area Congregations Together (ACT) Office, 2510 J St. Suite 200

Anonymous 4 tickets now on sale
Friday, April 20 at 7:30pm
Tickets are now on sale for the Gala Concert by Anonymous 4, here at the Cathedral on Friday, April 20th at 7:30 pm. With twenty-one best-selling recordings on the Harmonia-Mundi label, and numerous awards and sold-out concert tours, Anonymous 4 has made a significant mark in the classical music world during their twenty-five year tenure together.
Renowned for their unearthly vocal blend and virtuosic ensemble singing, the four women of Anonymous 4 combine musical, literary, and historical scholarship with contemporary performance intuition as they create ingeniously designed programs, interweaving music with poetry and narrative.
In addition to their unmatched medieval repertoire, Anonymous 4 has often reached out into the realm of contemporary music, and has premiered works by Peter Maxwell Davies, John Tavener, Steve Reich, Richard Einhorn and David Lang. The group has also expanded their repertoire to include traditional music of the British Isles and America.
Anonymous 4 has performed in major venues and festivals throughout North America, Europe and the Far East. The ensemble has appeared on numerous radio and television programs, including Garrison Keillor's "A Prairie Home Companion," "CBS Sunday Morning," A&E's "Breakfast With the Arts," and NPR's "Weekend Edition." Anonymous 4's award-winning recordings have attained unprecedented popularity, rising to the top of Billboard's classical chart, and selling almost 2 million copies worldwide.
Their "Anthology 25" concert will present a retrospect of the music which has shaped them during their twenty-five years together, and you will not want to miss this concert! Hi Everyone!
I just wanted to give you an update on how I'm doing with preparing for the NorCal AIDS Cycle coming up in May. On one of our recent training rides I met a guy named Manny. He's a counselor for CARES Clinic, an organization that provides services for people and families affected by HIV/AIDS. He's done this ride before and gave me a lot of great information to help me survive life on the road. But some of the things he shared with me really touched me. At his job, he recently had to tell a 16 year old girl, who had sex only once, that she was HIV positive. He had to tell an 18 year old football player who was heading off to college, that he has HIV. He had to counsel a mother of a 17 year old from a well off, respectable family when she found out her son has AIDS. The CARES Clinic not only helps people who have the virus, but it also helps educate young people about the disease. Infections in young people are on the rise at an alarming rate and it breaks my heart.
This is why I'm riding...for the teenagers who think it won't happen to them.
Thank you to Todd, Stan, Jay, Jeff & Kristine, Anne, Sue, Elba, Joan & Jeane, Donna, Kathe, Karen Lynn, Don & CarolAnn, The Forde's, Norman, Pia, Stephanie, Tracie, David and a couple of annonymous doners. Your contributions have got me half way to my goal. If you've considered donating, here's another oportunity to do so. There are only 8 weeks left until the ride, so give what you can.
A big fat thanks to everyone!!
