HOT OFF THE GRILL

Gayle's Sweet 'N' Sassy Newsletter

Dear (Contact First Name),

Today is Mother's Day... A time to celebrate your mom! A mother does so much for her children, the least one can do is acknowledge her hard work and her selfless love for you. It is the perfect occasion to pamper your mom. Treat your mom to a day of fun and fine food. You can remind your mom how sweet or sassy you were as a child by using Gayle's Sweet'N'Sassy Barbecue Sauces. We would like to suggest the Honey Sweet for all you sweet children out there and the Extra Sassy Barbecue sauce for the sassy ones! (You know who you are :). And don't forget to give your mom a warm hug and a big kiss as you wish her a Happy Mother's Day!

Memorial Day is on Monday, May 27. It was created to honor the many American men and women who died in military service. Of course, it is important to set aside at least one day to recognize the sacrifice that men and women in our military have made to preserve the freedoms we cherish. But we must take advantage it as Memorial Day is a day off from work and school, a day for barbecues. Enjoy burgers and hot dogs with loved ones, but take a moment to remember those who can't do the same. Remember those families who will have an empty seat at their table and the men and women who used to occupy it.

Plan a memorable meal with Gayle's Sweet'N'Sassy Barbecue Sauce in a group-friendly atmosphere with friends, neighbors, and family and be thankful and honor those who have paid the ultimate price to ensure our freedom.

Red Snapper with Gayle's BBQ Sauce

Rinse 2 lbs. of red snapper pieces and pat dry with paper towels.
Preheat oven to 350 and get a skillet warm with olive oil or canola oil (which ever you prefer).

Get three shallow bowls.  Put half a cup or so of white flour in first bowl.  Scramble two eggs in the second bowl.  (add a splash of water in eggs).  Put half panko bread crumbs and half Italian (or whole wheat) bread crumbs in another bowl.  (I like Whole Foods bread crumbs).
Take one piece of red snapper and dip in flour, then eggs, then bread crumbs.  I think wet (fish), dry (flour), wet (eggs), dry (bread crumbs).
Put in hot pan and crisp one side.  About four minutes and then the other side.  Four minutes.

Put in baking dish.   Then continue with all the fish pieces until all in the baking dish. I bake for about 23 minutes or so.  I like the fish totally cooked.  I watch it.

Let cool.  Serve with Apple Cider Smoke or Honey Sweet or Extra Sassy Gayle's and watch it all disappear in less than five minutes!
