Lil Gayle's Recipe Corner!

With the biggest game in football this weekend, what are you going to make? Chicken wings are a favorite as well as other comfort foods....
Whether you like them sweet or sassy, you can create the perfect wings all of your guests. Fire up the oven and get ready to enjoy! Since there's no last-minute prep, cooking the chicken wings in the oven gets you out of the kitchen so you can enjoy the game and guests. Serve oven-baked chicken wings with extra Gayle's BBQ Sauce, blue cheese dressing, buffalo sauce, and celery sticks. Set them out with some homemade sliders, chips and salsa, and you're ready to host a party.

BBQ Buffalo Wings
Ingredients:
4 lbs. chicken wings
1 cup Gayle's Sweet 'N' Sassy BBQ Sauce
1 cup all-purpose flour
Salt and pepper to taste
2 tsp. garlic powder
Baking pans with wire racks

Instructions:
1.Separate the chicken wings at the joint with kitchen shears or a sharp knife. Cut off the tips of the wings so they don't burn in the oven.
2. Put the chicken wings in a sealable plastic bag. Pour in the Gayle's BBQ Sauce. Shake the bag to coat the chicken with the sauce.
3.Set the bag in a bowl and put it in the refrigerator overnight, or for at least 3 hours. Shake the bag occasionally to keep the BBQ sauce distributed over the chicken.
4.Preheat the oven to 400 degrees.
5.Drain the chicken wings and discard the sauce. Combine the flour, salt, pepper, and garlic powder in a flat dish.
6. Dredge the chicken wings in the flour mixture. Shake off excess flour and place wings on a rack in a roasting pan. Don't crowd the wings.
7.Bake for 45 minutes or until the chicken is starting to crisp along the edges and the coating is golden brown. Turn the chicken once during cooking. Remove from the oven and serve with dipping sauces.
