Sweetest Day October 20, 2012
Sweetest Day is a day to make others feel special. Take the time to acknowledge those who have been kind or helpful to you or those family or friends who make your life special. It is best celebrated by celebrating others and doing something special to make others happy. Give a gift of Gayle's Sweet 'N' Sassy BBQ Sauce to your friends, relatives and those who have touched your life.
The idea of the day is to take the time to show love to those who are special to us who we wouldn't normally give special attention to.  Take the time to send them a bottle of Gayle's Sweet 'N' Sassy BBQ Sauce. We recommend Gayle's Honey Sweet BBQ Sauce for your honey!

Halloween October 31, 2012
Halloween is a day for trick-or-treating, costume parties, haunted houses, jack-O-lanterns and other related celebrations.
Anything finger food is particularly good for Halloween since the kids will be coming and going during the night. It's also perfect for the parents out escorting the young ones. Whether you're having a big Halloween party or not, little grilled treats like chicken "fingers" dipped in Gayle's "bloody" BBQ sauce are perfect little treats to carry around the whole evening.

Monsters, and ghouls, and mummies-oh my! Dressing up for Halloween isn't limited to just a costume. For this year's holiday, serve guests Halloween-themed recipes.

Barbecued Worm Sandwiches

These sandwiches may look scary, but they make a tasty snack, lunch or dinner (especially if you're old enough to enjoy them with a beer). For snack- or hors d'oeuvre-size sandwiches, you can substitute cocktail wieners and mini hamburger buns to make Barbecued Worm "Sliders."

Ingredients

8 hot dogs, cut lengthwise into 6 strips
1/2 cup Gayle's Sweet 'N' Sassy BBQ Sauce
8 slices (3/4 ounces each) American cheese (or other cheese slices, as preferred)
8 sandwich buns, split and toasted

Preparation

In a 10-inch nonstick skillet, heat hot dog strips over medium-high heat until strips begin to curl.

Gently stir in barbecue sauce until hot dog strips are coated. Heat until bubbly.  Place slices of cheese on bottom halves of buns. Top with hot dog mixture, and cover with top halves of buns.

Spooky Shepherd's Pie

Set aside 12 peas for garnish from the bag of Green Giant Valley Fresh Steamers frozen mixed vegetables. Add remaining frozen vegetables, tomatoes and gravy; mix well. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat to medium-low; cover and cook 8 to 10 minutes or until vegetables are crisp-tender, stirring occasionally.

Meanwhile, in medium saucepan, bring water, margarine and garlic powder to a boil. Remove from heat; add milk. Stir in potato flakes and cheese. Add egg; blend well.
Spoon ground beef mixture into ungreased 8-inch square (2-quart) or oval (2-1/2-quart) glass baking dish. Add vegetables as the second layer. With a large spoon, make 6 mounds of potato mixture on top of beef mixture to resemble ghosts. Place 2 reserved peas on each mound to resemble eyes.

Bake in pre-heated oven for 20 to 25 minutes or until potatoes are set and mixture is thoroughly heated.
