The calendar says spring, but the nip in the air (and snow on Saturday) has us all confused. I can confidently announce that spring has come to Reinwald's Bakery. Palm Sunday this weekend and Easter and Passover next weekend has all the spring colors adorning our cakes and cookies. Our "Bunny Korner" is a hoppity with pure milk chocolate bunnies just waiting to be a basket centerpiece. At Reinwald's we hand mold all our chocolate using some of the finest vintages of chocolate for our work. Pray the kids don't catch you; but a small piece slowly melting in your mouth to reveal flavor and creaminess is worth the risk.

 

     The past few Easters has seen many of our gourmet mousse cakes selling better than the traditional Easter cakes. However, last year we sold more of the coconut covered lamb pound cake than ever before. I wish I knew why, but to satisfy new and traditional we will be offering our chocolate mousse and Tiramisu in an egg shaped version and decorated for spring. We will also be continuing making Christopher's Nutella Mousse which has been very well received and has been sold out on numerous days.

 

 

 

     The last day to order items for Easter weekend will be Wednesday April 1st. We have found that having the order deadline avoids disappointment for our customers and lets our bakers work ahead on what they know is needed. We will be OPEN on Easter Sunday from 6:30am to 2pm.

 

PS.     We will be making spinach and broccoli quiche for Good Friday. Both are meatless, but coupled with a bowl of soup make a very nice supper.
