Sharing the Power of Stories
January 2015
A New Year ...

Dear friends,

I wrapped up 2014 with a blog post that felt apropos to the mood and the season. It started with this quote:

For last year's words belong to last year's language, and next year's words await another voice, and to make an end is to make a beginning. - T.S. Eliot

I love this quote for many reasons, not the least of which is its presentation of the universality in uncovering opportunity for new beginnings and self-reinvention. It is not without stress or trauma that we overcome life's obstacles, but it is in those triumphs that a new "voice" develops. So, as we look back on another year past, let us remember the new voice that has been born from all life's challenges.

2014 was an amazing year for me personally and professionally, and with my new publishing arm, Divine Phoenix Books, I feel blessed to have established a concrete avenue through which I can share transformational stories with the world. Check out the website to see what's out and what's on deck.

Live the Life of Your Dreams: 33 Tips for Inspired Living is the perfect supplement to support your New Year's resolutions (or resolutions to have no resolutions). The art of integrating the rituals of self-love into our daily lives has never been more important than now.

Peace & Blessings,
Laura

On My Bookshelf

A Lifetime Last Night
By David Homick

Every choice has a consequence, a notion Richard Dunham refuses to

acknowledge even as his twenty-five-year marriage to college sweetheart Emily falls apart. Forced into a homeless shelter when Emily throws him out, Richard has an unexpected encounter with an eccentric old man who offers him a rare opportunity.

A fantastic and riveting read for anyone who has experienced being at a crossroads in life, and an age-old exploration of the notion that life lessons come in some of the most surprising forms. Book club members, check out the book club discussion questions!
