Sharing the Power of Stories
October 2014
Dear friends,

Warm autumn blessings! October is a very nostalgic and sentimental time for me - an entire month dedicated to raising awareness for breast cancer. We are blessed to be a part of a culture that celebrates and takes care of women, and where research to bring an end to breast cancer perseveres in spite of financial and federal challenges.

To personally contribute I am donating 10% of proceeds from the sale of Live the Life of Your Dreams: 33 Tips for Inspired Living - a book dedicated to my Mom, a breast cancer survivor - to breast cancer awareness. Buy your copy today
10% of sales will go to breast cancer awareness

To take part of the campaign online, you can join the fabulous team at ABC News with #gopink, share your personal stories with me on Facebook and Twitter

Roughly 1 in 8 U.S. women (about 12%) will develop invasive breast cancer over the course of her lifetime, meaning at least that many have a story to share - whether of personal experience, or that of a loved one. I encourage you to share your gained wisdom and thoughts with the men and women in my audience. Now is a wonderful time - discover the healing power in sharing story.

Peace & Blessings,

Drilling for Hope
is a compilation of journal entries from her self-funded time spent in various countries drilling wells for clean water. All profits from the sales of her book go directly to Drilling for Hope - the non profit organization which funds the installation of clean water wells. Moving, at times heart wrenching, and always inspiring, this book will have you reaching for ways to have an impact on the lives of those less fortunate.

My latest

blog post is a Q/A with author Alina Garcia-LaPuerta who delivers, in exquisite detail and a romantic eloquence, this English-language biography of the Condesa de Merlin. The Condesa was known to many as an adventurous woman (nicknamed La Belle Crole) a Cuban-born aristocrat who was years ahead of her time as a writer, socialite, and political participant in the Cuban slavery debate and an important female figure.

Normally, I don't feature blogs that I've authored, but I felt strongly that I needed to publicize the latest blog on my speaker site, as I have been hearing from fans that the need for inspiration in daily living is constant. My latest post, Integrate Inspiration was written for that purpose.
