Central Presbyterian ChurchMotors? Meals? Manicures?

Central Presbyterian Church's sees outreach to its community in, at times, unusual ways. Twice yearly, Central offers a Saturday for Free Oil Changes for Single Moms. This is an all-day event. While the vehicles are being serviced, members are getting acquainted with the moms and kids in the church, learning about their lives and challenges. They offer activities, meals, even manicures. This ministry has drawn support from local auto supply stores and from non-members (some "unchurched") who are impressed with the project and want to help.

Outreach in a more "traditional" form, aimed at serving the neighborhood is the Free Community Meal. One Thursday each month, the doors are open to welcome the neighborhood to share a good meal and fellowship at Central. Sometimes as many as 200 are served. This ministry has so demonstrated its helpfulness that two nearby churches have adopted a different Thursday to offer the same ministry.

Please pray for the continuing witness and ministry of Central Presbyterian Church, Cliff Haddox, pastor.
