Jeff is the Chief Revenue Officer for Providence Sports + Entertainment and has spent time in the American Hockey League, Eastern League and NCAA College Athletics. Jeff has a wide variety of experience in the sports and entertainment industry having worked in the fields of ticket sales, group sales, corporate sales and client relations with teams like the Providence Bruins, Chicago Wolves, Norwich Navigators and the UCONN Huskies. As Chief Revenue Officer at Providence Sports + Entertainment Jeff oversees and manages all aspects of sales and client relations.
Providence Sports + Entertainment is the leader in sales, marketing and hospitality for sports and entertainment in Southern New England. The company began as the Providence Bruins and became Providence Sports + Entertainment eighteen months ago. In addition to owning and operating the Providence Bruins the company's client list includes the Dunkin' Donuts Center, the Rhode Island Convention Center, the Veterans Memorial Auditorium and more. The company's services include: Group Ticket Sales, Season Sales Subscriptions, Sponsorship Sales, Entitlement Opportunities, Hospitality, Suites, Customer Relations, Customer Surveys, Marketing and Event Management.
The core focus of Providence Sports + Entertainment is the Providence Bruins and as such the Bruins are consistently one of the top drawing teams in the American Hockey League and in minor pro sports. The Providence Bruins success has been built around a focus on business to business marketing, family fun, value and fan experience. The Bruins business model is based on direct selling, especially group, hospitality, season and sponsorship sales, database management and client service. Jeff is responsible for ensuring that the company's goals and objectives in these areas are met and exceeded and that the company continues to grow.
Augusto "Cookie" Rojas, Jr., JD
General Sales Manager, Pawtucket Red Sox
Augusto was born and raised in Pawtucket, RI. He graduated from La Salle Academy in 1987, and then served in the United States Marine Corps for 6 years. He is a Persian Gulf War Veteran, serving with the 6th Motor Transport Battalion during Operations Desert Shield and Desert Storm. He received his B.A. in Political Science from the University of Rhode Island in '93. He went on to serve as a paralegal in the Criminal Division under both Attorney Generals Jeffrey Pine and Sheldon Whitehouse. While at the Attorney General's Office he attended and later received his Law Degree from Suffolk University Law School, Evening Program in 1998 in Boston.
He then went on to work for United Way of Rhode Island and served as the Senior Vice President/Annual Campaign Director. He then served as the Assistant Vice President/Community Development Officer for the Pawtucket Credit Union, in Pawtucket RI, overseeing Community Relations and Corporate Sponsorships for this $1 Billion Dollar Credit Union.
Six seasons ago he achieved his personal goal of working in Professional Sports. He is currently the General Sales Manager for the Pawtucket Red Sox Baseball Club, Triple A Affiliate of the Boston Red Sox. As the General Sales Manager his sales team has reached record highs in terms of tickets sold and revenue generated and he has personally grown his sales portfolio from $50,000 in sales a year to over $500,000.
More recently he has been named an adjunct faculty member at Johnson & Wales University, Providence Campus, where he teaches Sports Marketing and Negotiations. Over the years he has worked in the Private, Government, Academic and Non-Profit sectors and feels this exposure has helped him connect with current and prospective clients.
What he is most proud of is that he is married to the former Kristin Cicilline of Newport, RI, his college sweetheart and they have four children and currently reside in Barrington, RI.
