IMPACT*Beaverton is doing its thing. We are being contacted by local businesses that are having challenges growing and we are here to assist where ever possible. The partnership with the City's economic development team, Mayor's office, SBDC and more is making headway championing our "Open for Business" mission. As I recently wrote to a particular member, "while we cannot click our heels together and fix everything, we can engage in healthy and robust discussions that will often bring about solutions and connections that make things happen".

If you need a voice - we are here to do what we can together as a team for business.

The Chamber and Small Business Development Center  -

Your chamber continues to create strong service partnerships on behalf of the small business community in Beaverton. The chamber is privileged to partner with the Small Business Development Center- Portland Community College (SBDC-PCC), a resource partner with the U.S. Small Business Administration. The Chamber hosts SBDC advisor, Jon-Michael Kowertz by appointment for free and confidential, one-on-one business advising.

As additional resource for small businesses in Beaverton, owners and entrepreneurs can schedule an appointment for SBDC advising and conveniently meet at the Beaverton Chamber of Commerce. Candidates for advising may need help in business start-up, marketing, planning, financing, loan package development and more. Business advising is at no charge and does not require chamber membership. To learn more about how the SBDC can help your business or to arrange an appointment contact the chamber at 503-350-2007 or email Michelle

Representing Business to Government...

Our Business Advocacy Council focuses on issues that directly impact businesses that most owners/managers do not have time to stay on top of but count on the Chamber to do so and be their voice.

Community - Summertime is a great time to celebrate the wonderful community we live in. There are many opportunities to get outside and enjoy new activities with each other. This week alone, there are a lot of ways to get out and do things together. The Beaverton Infiniti Beaverton Community Expo will take place at Beaverton City Park during the Beaverton Farmer's Market (wow that's a lot of Beaverton J). Washington County has a Passport to Nature you can participate in and enjoy new activities with your family and friends. Pick up your passport at the Chamber office. The City of Beaverton and Tualatin Hills Park and Recreation District have kicked off their summer events. Close by you also have great golf courses, tennis courts, disc golf, swimming, the Hillsboro Hops Stadium and Tree to Tree Adventure Park. We have so much going on in a small radius. Let's get outside and enjoy our community and everyone in it!
