Greetings!
Tuesday evening was a great success for three of our Chamber board members. Congratulations to chair of the board, Ken Madden, for his election to Portland Community College's board. While not quite official as of publication - it is nip & tuck - but what a finale we predict for Jerry Jones and his win for the seat on the Tualatin Hills Park & Recreation board of directors. His professional background, energy, and young-family orientation will bring great things to THPRD! And last, but certainly not least - Jeff Rose and the Beaverton School District's successful passage of the local option levy. Your Chamber supported this levy to prevent further cost-cutting measures and further increases in class sizes for the next year.
direct*CONNECT has taken off. Our internal Referrals and Leads group has two open sessions, 12 - 1 and 5:30 - 6:30 on Thursdays.
If you'd like more information please email Jessica.
You may also contact Ham Thorne (12 - 1 group leader) or Bob Borra (5:30 - 6:30 group leader). Our complete information packet is in our newsroom.

It is that time of year when the City and the Chamber honor 6 of the most impactful and vital individuals, groups and businesses that make Beaverton the "Best of Oregon". Please consider nominating an individual, a NAC, a business, an educator, a service organization, or an emerging youth leader for this special recognition. Nominations are due by May 28th at 4pm. Full details and nomination form.
Beginning Friday, May 24th, the Chamber office will close at 12pm on Fridays through August 30th. Appointments can be made in advance by contacting staff.
Finish your week strong & productively!
Sincerely, Lorraine Clarno, President/CEO, ACE Beaverton Area Chamber of Commerce 503.350.2006
