Hello again. This past month I have been really busy & a bit emotional. We found out that they are going to raise the price of our apartment too much for us to stay here, so we have to move... AGAIN. I do not like change very much, but we did find a place deeper into Sharjah, which will be closer to more of the people we want to make friends with. So, in the next couple of weeks we will begin moving our stuff to the new apartment. Although I am only 10 years old, this will be the 6th time I have moved. Keep me in prayers!

What's up from the desert? I am doing pretty good, but I am not so happy about Daddy leaving tomorrow for Jordan & Israel. I am a 100% Daddy's Girl, and I do not like it when he has to go somewhere. Please keep me in prayers because I find it hard to sleep & usually cry a lot. Of course, Daddy says he will buy me something, but I would rather have my Daddy here. Other than that & losing a tooth, nothing much else is going on with me. I am also a little sad about changing apartments, but Daddy says it is just a part of living here... so I will deal with that. Oh yeah, I also had a great Easter... except we have to hunt eggs in the house because there is no grass or trees here... it is hard to hunt eggs in the sand.

Greetings once again from the Middle East. I will be leaving in the morning for Jordan and Israel, but we wanted to send an update of all God has done throughout the last month.

Church United

One of our responsibilities on the field is service to a local church. We are co-pastors of a multi-ethnic church called, Church United. This past month we celebrated our church's diversity with Ethnic Day. Everyone in the church wore traditional clothing from their country of origin & we shared a meal with foods from around the world. One of the incredible characteristics of the body of Christ is how people from different nations, who speak different languages, which are normally separated by ethnicity & national politics can unite together in the love & worship of Jesus Christ.
Unconditional Marriage Seminar

The testimony of Christian people is vital to cultivating & maintaining a strong Christian witness to the non-Christian world. Christians often focus on their personal relationship with Jesus, but fail to build relationships that highlight their place in Christ. No relationship can reflect the difference Jesus can make more than a Godly marriage. This month, we held a 2-week marriage seminar focusing on building healthy marriages that not only honor the marriage covenant we made with God, but also testify of our relationship with Christ to the world.
New Family Members

While our work with the local church is crucial to the task God has entrusted us with, the primary focus is adding family members to the church of Jesus Christ. This month three people were adopted into the family. While that may not seem like many, in this part of the world, we celebrate & rejoice with heaven as each lost sheep is found by the Great Shepherd. Please keep these new brothers & sisters in your prayers as they face many obstacles & even dangers in their new lives.
Visitor from Alabama

Also this month we had a visit from an old friend from Alabama. COGWM m-evangelist, Manning Thorton visited & ministered with us for about 2 weeks. Manning was able to share in a couple of our churches, in the seminary, and also in our house group, which includes both Christians and people from other faiths. It was great to have Manning with us in the Middle East.

As always, we are so grateful for everyone who makes our ministry in this part of the world possible. While there are many challenges, by working together with what God is doing in the world, there is nothing that cannot be achieved. Please keep our family & work in your prayers.

In His Service,
Vance, Kari, Leandra & Kendra Massengill
