Headed to the Desert!
May 2015

Greetings from Alabama... but not for long! In less than 4 weeks we will be boarding a plane and heading back to the deserts of the Middle East. We are looking forward to getting back to the task given to us by the Lord Jesus Christ. We are also thankful to every person and every church that makes our return possible.

Three More Churches
With our departure date in site, we have 3 more churches left before returning to the UAE. We are so thankful to the churches we have visited so far & all of the churches & people who support us so faithfully. We are rather tired from the constant traveling but have truly been blessed by so many during our time in the US. We are praying that we will be able to stay on the field for at least 3 years straight, but our monthly support will need to stay strong for that to happen. The remaining schedule is as follows:

May 17 AM: Watts Bar Church of God, Decatur, TN
May 17 PM: East Cleveland Church of God, Cleveland, TN
May 24 AM: New Hope Assembly of God, Clanton, AL

If you live near any one of these churches, we hope to see you there! Please keep us and our budget on your prayer list.
Packing Our Bags
The next few weeks before we leave for the UAE will be filled with mixed emotions & the task of packing our lives back into suitcases. While we are so excited to be getting back to the Middle East in order to fulfill our calling, it is always hard to say goodbye to family & friends. Our lives have very few constants, and are filled with constant change. At the same time, we look forward to what God has in store over the next few weeks and months. Of course, we also look forward to being able to write more in our newsletter about what God is doing... and we look forward to joining Him!!!

It Is Finished!
In 2007, I was presented the opportunity to continue my education by pursuing a doctorate. Before I began, I wanted to make sure my motives were right. I did not want to go back to school for a piece of paper or a title. I just wanted to be a better missionary. I also did not want do it if it would prevent me from doing what God called me to do. I had peace that God had opened the door, so I began my 3rd degree in Intercultural Studies (missiology). While it took longer than I hoped, this past Saturday the journey came to an end, and I graduated. Through my teachers, classmates & the guidance of the Holy Spirit, I believe I am better prepared for the task God has given our family. While I will never be able to do the work without the empowerment of the Holy Spirit, I thank God for placing another tool in my hand that can serve His purpose in the Middle East. Also I must thank Kari, Leandra & Kendra for their unwavering support & encouragement.
As this will be the last newsletter we write from the US, we want to thank everyone for their prayer and financial support for our family and ministry to bring the gospel to the Middle East. While the numbers of people who have yet to hear the story of Christ are staggering, nothing is impossible with God... and thanks to your faithfulness, in the upcoming weeks, months, and years there will be many who hear the Greatest Story ever told for the first time.

Hello again. April was a busy month. We got to color eggs for Easter & this time we actually got to hide them outside. In the Middle East we have to do that in the house because there is no grass or places to hide them in the desert. I am looking forward to going back to the UAE. Of course, I will miss my grandparents but God will give me strength. We just got back from Missouri for Daddy's graduation. I was so proud of him, but it was weird seeing him graduate. I have watched him give students degrees but never get one himself. Also in April I found out I have dyslexia. It makes me a little sad, but Mommy & Daddy says it is nothing Jesus cannot help me with. Please pray for me & ask that God will help me.

What's up? I am also getting excited about going back to the UAE. It is strange to want to be in 2 places at the same time. I would like to be with my grandparents but I also want to be in the UAE. This month we went to Georgia, Florida & Missouri. It was nice to be at the churches & see other little girls. At the same time, all we do is meet great people & then have to say goodbye to them. That part stinks! Well, keep me in prayer & the next time you hear from me will be in land of camels & sand... lots of sand.
