Happy holidays from the faculty and staff at MFAC!
Have a happy and safe New Year!

On November 26th Fox News Channel 5's Holly Morris interviewed Melissa Dobbs and Jackie Doherty who got to tell the Washington metro area about MFAC's holiday performance schedule, positive teaching environment, commitment to giving back to the community and charitable partnerships with the Make-A-Wish Foundation and Cole's Closet. Our dancers got to showcase their talent by getting up bright and early, tapping and turning, performing excerpts from the Nutcracker and Frosty Follies. Not to be outdone, Holly Morris donned a tutu and was given lessons on how to be a Nutcracker doll by Randy Snight (Drosselmeyer). Cole's Founder Ellen Tomczyk's told the story behind Cole's Closet and how MFAC's has sponsored their toy drive for seven years. Ellen told Holly that MFAC's Winter Concert is their largest annual toy drive and that they have distributed over 20,000 toys. If you missed the interviews and want to see all three segments, see Holly Live at MFAC! |

Cole's Closet
Remember, that this year, as in past years, you will not need a ticket, instead we will be collecting toys in support of Cole's Closet. Cole's Closet is dedicated to reducing the amount of stress hospitalized children and their families face. Each year, Cole's Closet donates numerous items to hospitals that will ensure a more comfortable hospital stay for all children. We are asking all MFAC families to bring in one new, unwrapped toy in support of this wonderful organization. |
