On Oct. 1, 2015, the ICD-9 code sets used to report medical diagnosis and in-patient procedures will be replaced by ICD-10 code sets. This workshop will familiarize staff responsible for coding with the organization and structure of the new code set and the similarities and differences between ICD-9 and ICD-10.

HHS OIG and Industry Leaders Release Joint Guidance for Health Care Boards
In the first collaboration of its kind between these groups, the Inspector General of the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS OIG), the American Health Lawyers Association (AHLA), the Association of Healthcare Internal Auditors (AHIA) and the Health Care Compliance Association (HCCA) recently released a joint educational resource to assist governing boards of health care organizations carry out their compliance plan oversight obligations.
