Greetings!

Yea! It's almost Christmas. When I first had my daughter, I thought that kids being spoiled at Christmas was a result of the kid demanding tons of stuff... now I know the issue is mine. I have this insane compulsion to give her the world. Luckily for me, my bank account keeps me in check. The hardest part about the budget is that my husband and I want to play with all the cool things they have these days and we have to prioritize our gift giving.

I sure hope that one of these folks will be wrapping my gifts this year!! My family is very excited about my learning this skill at the Holiday Gathering at East Hill Farm next week.  Maybe they  won't need a skill saw to get through all my tape! Makes for a safer holiday in any case... unless my tape compulsion takes control again.

We had a very enjoyable lunch at the Sizzle Bistro, which is in the Executive Health & Sports Center. It is newly opened and with its proximity to the Manchester-Boston Regional Airport (at the first traffic circle) it seemed like a good place to check out. Between us we order quite a few different items from the menu. When I polled a number of people I got reactions of very good to outstanding, plus a lot of other adjectives I can't remember. The tomato basil soup I had, was excellent along with the burger I shared. And the homemade potato chips were a big hit. The atmosphere was very nice, service was excellent and it seemed like a good value. There was a lovely patio with a tiki bar out near the pool which a couple of us made note of for warmer months.

All GSAs are welcome. If you would like to be on Sue's invitation list for future lunches,  email nhgsastaff@gmail.com and put "Lunch with Sue" in the subject line and we will see that she gets your request.

On October 2, Granite State Ambassadors (GSAs) at the Manchester Information Center (MIC) located at the corner of Elm and Merrimack Streets, in Manchester NH, exceeded visitor expectations once again.

The GSAs not only assisted visitors from Australia in finding the best foliage spots to visit during their stay, but they were also able to recover a lost gemstone for the couple.

It all started during GSA Jill G's and GSA Jim G's 3-6 p.m. shift at MIC on Thursday, October 2. Diana Reid and her husband were in town for their son's wedding to a New Hampshire woman and stopped in for tips on visiting the mountains in order to experience New Hampshire's beautiful foliage.
