Greetings!

It's almost Trick-or-Treat time. This year, my daughter has decided to be a thumb. Yes, a full-body thumb. It is pretty cool. She took a foam pad for a twin bed and spray painted it after she formed it into thumb shape. She is putting the thumb nail and print on it tonight.  I can't wait to see the finished product!

Hope you all have a fun, ghoulish holiday!

New Visitor Assistance Training at The Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce

Aimed at educating Granite State Ambassadors and other interested members of the downtown community on the unique needs and issues of various visitors to downtown, the Downtown Manchester Visitor Training Series will encompass three separate two hour workshops.

Workshops will be held from 10 a.m. to 12 noon in the Chamber's large conference room and will feature panel discussions featuring experts on each topic.

The first in the series will be:
Downtown's Non-Visitor Visitors - Friday, November 9
Participants will leave with an understanding of the key issues and factors that affect downtown's often transient population, as well as specific strategies, tactics and resource materials to assist this population in related "real world" situations.

Day in the Life of a GSA

From the NHGSA Staff

Once again Keene NH has greeted thousands of guests with the help and support of NH Granite State Ambassadors! Our hard working crew began the evening before carving pumpkins at the Days Inn in preparation of the following days festivities.

Several of us stayed the night so we could arrive at the crack of dawn to put up our tent, lug out the boxes of New Hampshire informational materials and get ready to greet the on-slot of guest to little 'ole Keene NH and the Great Keene Pumpkin Festival!

NH Visitor Center News Blog

By Moe Demers, GSA - Comfort Inn Airport Class 2011

He was an older man in a wheelchair. He was early for his flight and was waiting near Gate 3. He was waiting for his high school sweetheart! It seems that he and his former high school girlfriend had remained in touch over the years, but at a distance as they were both married to someone else.

As time went on, first she, as he put it, became single again. Then more recently he did too. They communicated and she invited him for a visit and arranged for accommodations on the Oregon coast for a week to see if they were "compatible". He then showed me his high school ring and related how she was the one who wore it while they were in high school together.
