MPAEF & Hillview PTO Joint Campaign

Together, we INSPIRE in our children a love of learning.

Together, we INVOLVE ourselves in their learning journey.

Together, we INVEST in their future.

The PTO and the Foundation are the two vital organizations that make our schools special. When you support the PTO at $250 per child and the MPAEF at $1500 per child this is the real difference you make in their education:

E Komo Mai Luau & Schedule Pick-up Event: Monday, August 18, 3 - 6 p.m.

Out with the old, in with the new!  Please join us for a new tradition (replaces ACI) that celebrates the end of summer and the excitement of a new year! Students can pick up their schedules early and 7th/8th graders who complete their iPad paperwork may pick up their iPads.  Parents and siblings can enjoy the festivities while catching up and sharing summer stories. (We promise the only line you will need to stand in will be for dessert!)

    Hot Lunch

Hot lunch begins the first day of school for 7th and 8th graders (6th graders check Camp Hillview schedule). Order your student's lunch online at Choice Lunch. If your child is new to Hillview, you may be asked for a registration code when signing up to order. The code to use is "Hillview." Serving lunch at Hillview takes less than 12 minutes, but is great way to connect with the kids. Volunteers arrive 20 minutes early to set up and stay 10 minutes after serving to clean up and stack the lunch bins. It's less than an hour a week commitment and a fun way to meet other parents and see your kids and their friends at school. If interested, please contact volunteer@hillviewpto.org.

Scholarly Dress Expectations, aka Hillview Dress Code
Mr. B has asked us to remind you of the Dress Expectations at Hillview. Assuming many of you are Back-to-School shopping, please keep these guidelines in mind.

Shirts: Straps and sleeves must cover undergarments. No spaghetti straps, halter tops, racer backs, cut outs, or short tops. No inappropriate logos, advertisements, or similar graphics.
    Shorts/Skirts: Must be mid-thigh.
Pants: No holes or cuts above mid-thigh. No sagging. No leggings.

Hillview Dress Expectations will be enforced beginning the first day of school. The office has plenty of old PE uniforms to loan out to students not meeting the dress code.

    Volunteering
So many great things are happening at Hillview - and we would love for you to be a part of them. From the E Komo Mai Luau, to Hot Lunch service, to Mini-Course assistance, to Flower Day coordination, we need great people to create and lead the programs that make Hillview vibrant. Click here to see the immediate needs on campus and to fill out the 2014-2015 Volunteer form.
