Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and we ask all parents be ready for pick-up promptly at 8:30 p.m. Only Hillview 6th and 7th graders can attend - please have your child bring his/her student ID. Any student arriving after 7 p.m. will need a parent to walk them to the PAC entrance. Any student wishing to leave early must also have a parent meet them at the PAC entrance.

Dance tickets are $6 for non-ASB card holders and $5 for ASB card holders. Tickets will be on sale during Spirit Week at lunch in the blue student center in the quad. Tickets will also be sold at the door, but we STRONGLY encourage students to pre-purchase their tickets to gain entrance faster as well as allowing us to prepare for the right number of students. LIbrary News

The Hillview Library and Books Inc. are excited to bring one of our favorite authors, Kenneth Oppel, to Hillview! Wednesday, May 14 at 6:30 pm, Hillview PAC

In an age where our kids are over-scheduled and pressured to perform at increasingly higher levels, Race to Nowhere highlights the growing issues of cheating, anxiety-induced illness, and withdrawal from academics, leading to a new generation of underprepared college students.  With the help of world-renowned psychologists and education experts, this film is aimed at helping to change the broken system so that we can raise students to be excited and inspired not only in our schools, but beyond as well. The film will be followed by an expert panel discussing the difficult balancing act of raising teens in today's high-stakes world.

M-A Robotics

After a big victory at the Sacramento Regional Competition, the Menlo-Atherton High School Robotics Team, supported by Hillview students, Gianluca Zanutta, Annamarie Wire and Tyler Lewis, earned a berth at the World Robotics Championship, held April 24-26 in St. Louis. Amid 400 teams, culled from a total of nearly 3,000 teams from 38 countries, the M-A Robotics Team had a 6-4 final record, including a very close final match that was decided in the final seconds and would have likely put the Team into the finals with a victory.

The M-A Robotics Team is preparing for an even stronger 2015 and will continue to improve its current robot over the summer and through regional competitions in the fall. The team encourages participation from students who want to get hands-on experience with engineering, computer science, project and business management, team building, and leadership. Middle schoolers and incoming freshman are welcome! For more information, visit the team website or email [email protected].
