Dear Hillview Parents and Guardians,
Have you recovered yet? WOW! What a great week we had last week. Our first attempt at a Mini-Course program exceeded our expectations. We learned a lot in the process and have spent the better part of the last several days reflecting on our experiences.
As you'll remember, the Mini-Course program is a pilot born out of our Hillview 3.0 Redesign process last year. As a community, we need to take time to reflect on our experience and collect feedback to determine if the Mini-Course program should become an annual effort and an integral part of the Hillview Middle School program.
That is why I write you today. I need your input! How did it go? What do you think?
Below are two links. The first is a link to the Mini-Course Parent Survey. In addition, I have included a second link for the Hillview Redesign Survey. Mini-Courses were just one of the amazing efforts that resulted from our Redesign process; we want to know what you think about all of them.
- What are the benefits and challenges of the Block Schedule?
- Are you happy with the elective offerings?
- How's Qu3ST working for your child?
These are all things we need to know.
Please put aside about 15-20 minutes of your time (probably less) to complete these TWO surveys. Your feedback is really important to us.
I need the results for the Redesign Survey by Wednesday, April 2. I need the results to the Mini-Course Survey by Monday, April 7. The sooner the better, though; so, why not just sit down and complete them TODAY? They're quick and easy. PLEASE complete both.
Mini-Course Parent Survey Redesign Parent Survey In closing, I would like to say THANK YOU to everyone who made the Mini-Course week a huge success. Our community and parent volunteers, our Logistic Parents, our amazing teachers, our funders--MPCSD, MPAEF, and PTO, our outstanding clerical and support staff, and our Planning Team without whom Mini-Courses would still be a dream on paper: Katie Angioletti, Monica Bosch, Shari Conrad, Pam Fernandes, Pam Larkin, Andrea Palmer, and Parke Treadway. Thank you for making this memorable experience come to life.
