8th Grade Graduation Info
|
Last Thursday we met with our 8th graders and communicated our end-of-year expectations to them. This is an annual conversation we have, and our goal is to fully inform our graduating class about our expectations, and to keep them engaged in their work for the remainder of the year so that they are able to enjoy their rewards in June: the 8th grade Great America Trip, the promotion ceremony, and the "grad night" party. We sent a letter home with the students on Friday, but just in case it didn't get to you, it is attached here. We have included in this communication some very important advance information about graduation, so please take the time to read it thoroughly and direct any questions to Willy Haug. Please note: The letter sent home with students had a typo, listing the minimum GPA required for graduation as a 1.0. The correct GPA is 1.5; students with below a 1.5 cumulative GPA for their 8th grade year will not be eligible for graduation activities, including the trip to Great America.
