Dear Parents of the Hillview Class of 2013,
I want to take a moment to thank each of you for such an amazing close to your eighth grader's middle school experience. Graduation, Grad Night and all the events that led up to those culminating experiences were a HUGE success; thanks to everyone who participated, supported and led.
I don't know about you, but I thought the 8th grade graduation ceremony was one of the best of which I have been a part. The new facility was the perfect backdrop for such a memorable event. I look forward to many more years of graduation stories taking place in our amazing new home. For those of you who did not get to see the amazing set-up in the gymnasium for Grad Night, you certainly missed quite sight. It was incredible! Our kids had such a great time and behaved themselves as perfect ladies and gentleman. It was non-stop fun from start to finish and the volunteers were out-of-this-world. I know that memories were created that will last a lifetime.
On behalf of the staff at Hillview, I want to offer our most sincere appreciation for every parent who volunteered in some small or large way to make graduation "season" a huge success. We so enjoyed getting to know your sons and daughters over the course of the last three years and hope they will come to visit and share their stories of success in high school and beyond.

I hope some of you will encourage your graduate to engage in the writing exercise I suggest in the speech; it can be very powerful as they begin high school.
