Dear Parents,

We just wanted to touch bases with our 6th and 7th grade parents regarding our dance tonight from 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. in the Hillview Performing Arts Center.

For many of our students, this is their first middle school dance! For you as a parent, we wanted to reinforce a few details for your convenience and help answer some of your questions.

  1. Dress code and school rules apply to all Hillview events including our dances.
  2. Students are invited to participate in dressing up to our theme, "A Day at the Beach", however, it is completely optional. Tickets are sold at the door for $5, and snacks and photos are on sale for $1 each. Student IDs are required as it is a Hillview student event, however, if a student forgets his or her ID, they will still be allowed to attend! We will have them wait while we verify that they are a Hillview student.
  3. Drop off time is 6:30 p.m. and Pick-up time is promptly at 8:30 p.m. Please use the circle drop-off responsibly. We will have volunteers and staff on hand to safely escort students from the dance in the PAC to you. Any student arriving after 7 p.m. or leaving prior to 8:30 p.m. will need a parent to come inside to the PAC lobby.
  4. There is a coat check for bags and purses run by parent volunteers. Students are encouraged to use this free service throughout the dance for their belongings.
  5. All food and drink must remain outside in the lunch area where snacks and drinks are sold.

Please help us reinforce our expectations with your child at home. We do all of this to provide a spirited, safe dance for all of our students. It is going to be an exciting, well-attended event and one we hope is a great experience for all of our Hawks.

Thanks for supporting our Hillview Activities program. If you have any questions, please email Brian Darmanin

Best,
