Dear Hillview Families and Community Members,

The Hillview athletic field and track are still under construction, and we ask all user groups to stay off the field and track until we officially announce its completion.

 

While we do have some temporary fencing that prevents easy entry, and while we do have posted signs that ask people to stay off the field, the determined few are still finding ways to "sneak on," either through gaps or over fences. 

 

Even though our new field looks beautiful and appears usable, it is not! We are still making adjustments, and the area remains an active construction zone. The key times that we find people are getting on the field are after hours in the late afternoon or on the weekends. Although workers are not actively completing tasks at these times, they are staging projects and putting down cones and markers to indicate where they will do work. In addition, there are some trouble areas on the field that are not safe for people to play around. 

 

We are all impatient to use our gorgeous new community resource, but we think you'll agree that we wouldn't want to inadvertently damage the field before it is fully ready!

 

Many thanks for extending your patience just a few weeks longer. You'll know when it's ready － the fences and signs will be down.
