Dweck, PhD, whose work has demonstrated the role of mindsets in student motivation and has shown how praise for intelligence can undermine motivation and learning. With a growth, rather than fixed mindset, people believe that their most basic abilities can be developed through dedication and hard work - brains and talent are just the starting point. This view creates a love of learning and a resilience that is essential for great accomplishment. To register, click here.

Parent Survey |
Hillview is embarking on a Design-Thinking process with the goal of answering the question, "How should our program, offerings, and opportunities change to meet the changing needs of the world into which our kids are graduating?"
This fall, we convened a group of leaders, teachers, and parents to form our Design Team and partnered with Stanford University's Design School to engage in lively collaboration around how Hillview can and will evolve.
Below is a link to a survey designed by our Design Team intended to gather ideas and feedback as we "prototype" some new schedules and changes to our program. We are inviting all parents and guardians as individuals OR couples to complete this survey. Please ONLY complete the survey one time per parent. The deadline for submission of the survey is Wednesday, January 23.
Please note: Some of the survey questions ask you to evaluate your feelings toward possible changes. NONE of these changes are definite and should be considered hypothetical until we are further along in the process. Please stay clear of assumptions and expectations as they can get in the way of the design process.
