Greetings Fellow Pioneers:
For the spring issue of Footprints alumni magazine, we're looking for stories on why you chose Wayland Baptist University, your good experiences and how Wayland prepared you for your future employment and/or community service responsibilities.
Admissions and Recruitment wants to use this issue as a recruitment piece as alums tell their success stories.
Please tell us your story and don't forget to include your name, year graduated, degree and contact information in case we need more details. Include a picture if you'd like.
Our deadline is March 21 but we'd love to hear from you sooner. Please send information to andrewsd@wbu.edu.
Who knows? Your story may influence one or more young people to choose Wayland to continue their educational pursuits.
Thanks and we look forward to your story.

We're excited that the Flying Queens program is one of four finalists for the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame in Springfield, Mass. with the inductees to be announced on April 4. Other finalists in the Women's Division are former Texas Tech and WNBA star Sheryl Swoopes, who played at Brownfield High School, Notre Dame coach Muffet McGraw and former longtime Leta Andrews, one of the most successful high school coaches at Grandbury, Texas.
We hope you received an earlier mailing about the Queens with details on their illustrious history.

Wayland has enjoyed tremendous success in its overall athletic program this year and continues to gain team and individual laurels. We refer you to wbuathletics.com for exceptional stories, photos, videos, information on streamed events and links to all things Wayland.
I'll be doing the radio play-by-play for Wayland games in the Sooner Athletic Conference Tournament in Waxahachie, Texas, next week. The Queens, winners of their first title in 21 years of SAC play, have qualified for the national tournament starting March 16 in Independence, Mo. and the Pioneers will qualify for nationals in Kansas City if they win the SAC tournament as they did last year.

Watch wbuathletics.com for tournament pairings and times and a link to the broadcasts. I'll be joined for some of the games by Andy Ellis, husband of Queens coach Alesha Robertson-Ellis, with air time about 10 minutes before tipoff.

Spring break will be coming up soon. We hope you and yours have a chance for some rest and relaxation.
Thanks and keep Wayland in your prayers!
