Greetings to all Wayland Alumni:
I want to thank Assistant Alumni Director Amy Loafman for her diligent work in organizing the Young Alumni Association and its board of directors. It's so vital that we connect with young graduates and others who have called any Wayland campus "home" - even if they didn't receive a degree from WBU - as we attempt to build a strong, long-lasting relationship.
At the same time, we hope older graduates will continue to keep their ties with Wayland strong and that all "exes" will financially support the University as their resources allow, that we'll all be good ambassadors - "Pioneers Forever" - and prayerful as God sustains Wayland.
The next few weeks will be extremely busy as we prepare for spring graduation (May 10) with the Late Night Study Breakfast, luncheon and post-Commencement reception sponsored by the Association of Former Students; the annual Ring Ceremony for those who have purchased a Wayland ring; and a Southern Gospel concert on Friday, May 9, by Dove Award-winning Ernie Haase and Signature Sound featuring WBU graduate Paul Harkey on bass. You can get tickets by calling 806-291-3603 or e-mailing andrewsd@wbu.edu. All proceeds benefit the general scholarship fund.
And, be sure to Save the Dates, Sept. 19-20, for Homecoming!
Sincerely,
Danny Andrews
