Hello PALs:
Welcome to our new newsletter! Since 2007, I have been informing PALs of issues related to students in an effort to educate parents to be an advocate for their own children. From time to time, you may have received emails from me about key local or state issues. Now we are using Constant Contact to help keep you informed. Our newsletters will now be sent from the email PALs@parentsadvocateleague.org. Please be sure to add this email to your contacts so you can receive our newsletters without going to the SPAM file.
Even though the newsletters are a bit fancier, please know you can always contact me personally (Julie@parentsadvocateleague.org) with questions, concerns, input, honoring an amazing teacher, and/or great success stories of your child. I may even ask you to share your story on our website or newsletter.
Parents are the most underutilized voice in education. Together, as parents, we can help ensure students are the focus in education. Let's use our voice to be heard for our children and their futures.

PALs has a new website!
 | Come visit our new website! |
When we started PAL in 2007 the first thing we did was start a website to help connect to more parents. As much as I loved our old website with the green apples from 2007, it was time to move to a new and improved site that really helps keep us connected.
Our new site went live this week! I hope you can take time to browse through it. You will notice blog posts from fellow PALs, ways to be informed, upcoming events, partner organization highlights, and monthly surveys. This month our survey asks: "Do you feel your voice is heard regarding concerns about your child's education." We are continuing to add more information as we speak, so check back often!
