The production of the "Addams Family" was incredible! The students did an amazing job...totally enjoyable and such a pleasure to watch! Well done!!!!

This event was out of the ordinary...one of the highest quality high school theater performances that we've seen in years!  Congratulations to Cheryl Baraban, Theatre Director. Thank you for representing our school and community at such a high level this past weekend!

Congratulations to Nick Pelletier, violist in the DHS Chamber Orchestra, who has won an audition to perform with the 2015 National Youth Orchestra-USA (NYO-USA).

He will join 120 other young musicians age 16-19 in a concert tour of China, as well as a Carnegie Hall performance which will be broadcast live worldwide.

One of the missions of the NYO-USA is to foster cultural discovery through performance and meeting with young musicians from China.

The Orchestra will perform nine concerts on the two week tour, July 10-26, preceded by a two week residency at Purchase College, State University of New York.   Soccer

We had another exciting win for the soccer program last Tuesday!
For the second year in a row the Girls Varsity Soccer team played an away game against Mill Creek and came out with a WIN!

The team was tied at the end of regulation and then overtime 1-1. In an amazing finish and after 90 minutes of play, we defeated the Hawks 3-0 in penalty kicks. The play was phenomenal from the defense (headed by captains Erin Cleland and Maddie Richardson, as well as Kai Jeffries and Avana Brewington) all the way up to the field. Our goals were scored by freshman Gabby Davis (2 penalty kicks), junior Tiffany Sornpao (our goalkeeper), and junior Klaudia Cancino. Sornpao also made two incredible saves that clutched the victory for the Wildcats!! Way to go!

The Boys Varsity Soccer
team played an intense and competitive match against Mill Creek last week with our star shining goalkeeper Giovanni Arauz making several world class saves. With the control of his defense and a goal scored by #10, Carlos  Delarosa, it brought the game into overtime at 1-1. With an upsetting second goal scored by Mill Creek during OT, Duluth Boys dug deep, deep inside themselves. Impressive heartfelt teamwork was the cause of #7 Alexander Garuba scoring with less than two minutes remaining, bringing the game to a 2-2 tie.  It was a hard fought game but the boys took a loss in penalty kicks.

Please come and support our Varsity Boys on Monday, 3/23, 7:30 pm, at North Gwinnett. Like us on Facebook at Duluth Soccer Nation!

Last Tuesday, the Boys Lacrosse team came away with a come-behind-victory against Eagles Landing Christian Academy. The victory was a team win with every player on our roster making a contribution. In particular, Alex Bryant had a monster day tallying 7 goals! This is his 2nd multi-score game of the season, his first came against Norcross with 5 goals!. Jason Kim dominated with face offs and scored 2 goals and had 5 assists, Ryan Middleton had 4 goals and an assist, Tanner Mikell had 2 goals and an assist, William McConnell, Frankie Viloria, Steven McCargo each had a goal.

Overall we had 7 players get on the scoreboard in a 18-7 victory. In addition to our great offensive unit, Pierce Brody led our defensive unit to hold their offense to 1 goal in the second half.

Our next home game is Thursday, April 2 against Parkview. Come out and support your Wildcats!

The top two placers from each state will be at this tournament. It is in Virginia Beach, and Coach Kiefer and Coach Pritchett will be there to support him, and to represent Duluth Wrestling and Duluth High School on a national stage!

Please congratulate Rodney on this achievement! This is the greatest honor a high school wrestler can have. There will be over 200 college coaches in attendance.
