LGPE

On March 5, 6 & 7, all five Duluth HS Orchestras performed at the Georgia Music Educators Association District 13 Large Group Performance Evaluation. At this event, each group performs 3 selections from a prescribed and leveled list for a panel of 3 judges. Using a rubric, each judge rates each piece and provides an overall rating.
In addition, all groups sight-read a piece they have never seen before and they are graded on how well they perform the piece.

All 5 DHS Orchestras (330 students) received Straight Superior ratings from the judges this weekend. This is the highest rating an orchestra can receive.

Please congratulate all these awesome kids on this great accomplishment!

Congratulations, Duluth High School Chorus!

On March 10 & 11, our Chorus students participated in the
Large Group Performance Evaluation (LGPE).
Each group performed two high caliber music pieces, and read a piece of music at sight in front of judges.

Our five choirs received all ratings of Superior and Excellent- the highest scores!

Mr. Green and I could not be prouder of our Wildcat Singers!
