Congrats go out to....
..Aliye Korucu!!!
Aliye was the winner of the American Legion Oratorical Contest on Sat., January 16!
For her extraordinary efforts, she was awarded $250 and a laptop and printer!
She spoke on the constitution and what it meant to her. She was also given a topic relating to one of the constitutional amendments and she had only five minutes to prepare a 3-5 minute speech on the topic.
I was so proud to hear her! I was honored and touched by her words.
She now advances to the next level of competition in a few weeks.
Aliye would be appreciative of your kind words when you see her!

DHS Boys!!! Guess what?
You asked for it, so we are trying to make it happen.
Coach Pezoldt is looking to start a community
BOYS volleyball program right here in Duluth.
While some of the work has been done, there are still many steps to take before YOUR dream can become a reality.
We need student interest and parent involvement.
If you and/or a parent are interested in getting involved, please contact coach Pezoldt at beau_pezoldt@gwinnett.k12.ga.us or stop by his classroom in the 400 building.
