Congratulations to
 Jerry Hancock,
Teacher of the Year!

Mr. Jerry Hancock was selected as DHS 2015 Teacher of the Year by his fellow staff members! The good news was delivered to him by our Principal, Mr. Anthony Smith, who had kind words about Mr. Hancock: "He has set himself apart, the way that he cares for students; the way that he meets their needs everyday. He really stands for everything that we stand for here at Duluth High School; that no matter who you are or where you are from, you have a chance to be successful. He really fights for kids that need it the most and we appreciate that about him."

Mr. Hancock expressed his gratitude for this great recognition and spoke about his passion for teaching: "I thank my students everyday; that's why I'm here; that's our whole purpose of doing this thing... is to change lives...so it's an honor..."

Duluth High School appreciates Mr. Hancock!
