Writer's Week
The kick off to Writer's Week with national award winning author, Neal Shusterman, was a hit as Neal discussed writing, the importance of reading, and the inspiration behind several of his favorite novels. Over 600 Language Arts students posed questions with Neal providing detailed responses and numerous hints to his writing style and techniques. More information about Neal can be found at his website:
A Change to the Writer's week schedule: The Open Mic sessions of Epiphany readers will only be held during lunch periods on Thursday due to testing in the Media Center on Tuesday. Please make a note of this change.
Wednesday, South Gwinnett teacher, Heath Gibson, will be working with Ms. Rickett's classes using his instructional methods on reading and writing to improve student's individual writing.
The DHS Media Center will be hosting an Open House on Friday May 16 from 9:00 am-2:00 pm as part of its Georgia DOE Excellence Award commitments and to show off the new facilities. |

DHS Spring Art Show
Duluth High School's Spring Art Show will be held May 13th from 5:00-9:00 pm in the 400 and 500 buildings. Come enjoy and be amazed by the students' and teachers' art work. Mrs. Adamson will have some of her art work for sale with 10% of the sales benefiting the DHS Art Department. |
