Neal Shusterman Coming to DHS
 
 
To kick off Writer's Week at Duluth HS, national award winning author, Neal Shusterman, will be speaking to Language Arts students about writing as well as discussing his books. More information about Neal can be found at his website:
  
During the remainder of the week, students will be listening to Epiphany selections read by their authors and working with teacher, Heath Gibson, who inspires a love of reading and writing in his students at South Gwinnett.
  
The DHS Media Center will be hosting an Open House on Friday May 16 from 9:00 am-2:00 pm as part of its Georgia DOE Excellence Award commitments and to show off the new facilities.

Catherine Lykins @ Carnegie Hall

 

Duluth's Chorus teacher, Catherine Lykins, performed with the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra and Chorus at Carnegie Hall. They performed the magnificent Benjamin Britten War Requiem commemorating the centennial of Britten's birth.

 

DHS Spring Art Show

 

Duluth High School's Spring Art Show will be held May 13th from 5:00-9:00 pm in the 400 and 500 buildings. Come enjoy and be amazed by the students' and teachers' art work. Mrs. Adamson will have some of her art work for sale with 10% of the sales benefiting the DHS Art Department.

Congratulations to Jazmyn Johnson 6A State Champion in the Girl's High Jump. Jazmyn finished first with a jump of 5'6". We are proud of you!
