Applications are now being accepted for the 2014 Fine Arts Scholarship sponsored by the Duluth Fine Arts League. Three scholarships will be awarded & are offered to students planning on a Fine Arts major in a college or university for the Fall 2014 school term. Applicatins are available in the DHS Main Office of the 600 building or online at the DFAL website.
DHS Community Scholarship
The Duluth Community Scholarship is now available online-Applications are due Wednesday April 2, 2014. This is a very unique opportunity--financial need based scholarship-only for students at DHS.
15 students from Duluth competed in the State Science Olympiad at Southern Polytechnic State University in Marietta March 24th. Duluth was one of 24 teams that qualified for state out of 100+ schools in Georgia. The DHS team finished 6th and won 5 medals out of 22 events.

DHS Art Participates in Big Print
Duluth HS Art Department was invited by the Atlanta Printmakers Studio to carve a portion of what will eventually be a 4x8 foot woodblock print. DHS has been partnered with Pinecrest Academy to develop an image around the idea of Opposites. DHS completes the "reality" part of the design & Pinecrest the "fantasy". Allessandra Gerrero, an AP studio student, has created the reality design. Duluth is only the second Gwinnett County high school to participate in the Big Print event scheduled for April 12th from 10:00- 4:00. The APS Studio is located
in the Metropolitan Business and Arts District at 675 Metropolitan Parkway in Atlanta.
