Cheung Wins Bronze
Congratulations to Monica Cheung - winning a Bronze medal on the National Classical Eytomology Exam given by the National Junior Classic League. The exam tests a student's ability to handle both Latin and Greek derivatives and their usage in the English language. Good job - we are certainly proud of you.
Please note this announcement from the GCPS webpage:
GCPS used its first snow make-up day on Feb. 17 to make up the school day missed in early January. To date, GCPS students have missed 7 days due to inclement weather. Three snow make-up days were built into the 2013-14 school calendar. Historically, GCPS has honored the 180-day school calendar, making up days missed. A decision has not been made on any additional make-up days beyond the three that were built into the calendar. Once that decision is made it will be communicated to schools, parents, staff, & the community. |
