Graduate Campuses
On May 2nd Northeastern University - Seattle was a sponsor for the Women of Color Empowered Luncheon featuring 11 "Young Rising Stars" in the community from a variety of businesses and organizations. About 400 people attended the luncheon, including leaders from around the region such as Congressman Jim McDermott. Northeastern University - Seattle had a table of ten, including students, faculty, and community leaders who had a good time getting to know each other.  All in all, we shared the stage with some awesome and inspiring women of color and enjoyed learning about each and everyone in attendance.
Quick fact: Did you know that Krischanna Roberson, one of our EdD students, was elected to the Bellevue School District Board of Directors in 2013? We are so proud to have students like her and a community that recognizes the achievements of its women of color.
