Camino Pablo Pavement Rehabilitation Project -

The Public Works Department received bids on Tuesday, October 28th for the Camino Pablo Pavement Rehabilitation.  Seven (7)  bids  were recieved from the major paving contractors in the area. The apparent low bidder was Ghilotti Bros., Inc. out of San Rafael with a bid of $1.7 million (rounded). Ghilotti Bros., Inc. was also the prime contractor for the 2014 Pavement Rehabilitation project this past summer. The bids received ranged from $1.7 to $2.1 million, with an engineer's estimate of around $1.9 million. This project is funded by transportation sales tax dollars through the Contra Costa Transportation Authority (CCTA). City staff will be coordinating with CCTA to extend the project limits for additional pavement rehabilitation work along Camino Pablo, north of Miner Road in order to maximize the use of all available funds.
