Special Thanks to Volunteer Tom Romaneck

The Parks and Recreation Department would like to extend its appreciation to volunteer Tom Romaneck for sprucing up the Orinda Community Park restrooms with a fresh coat of paint. Tom got an early start on an Orinda Action Day project to allow for use of the park restroom during the Action Day and Egg Hunt events.

"The Nation's 2nd Friendliest City"
From the Desk of Chief Nagel

From time to time while officers are on patrol, they may observe a situation that could potentially lead to a property crime at a home or on a vehicle. For example, a garage door will be left open overnight or a vehicle will be unlocked with valuables clearly visible inside - if the police can see the potential so can burglars. The Orinda Police Department will institute a program that advises residents of the potential theft of property by leaving an advisory memo at the residence or on a car noting what was observed. This is not an official legal memo, but something solely intended to help citizens secure property and reduce the chances of burglars committing easy crimes here in Orinda.
