Inside the Locker Room Returns To Orinda

Fans can meet numerous Cal coaches and student-athletes

Golden Bear fans are invited to come to Orinda Theatre Square on Monday, February 3, 2014 from 7:00pm to 8:00pm for the second of four special editions of Cal's weekly radio show, Inside the Locker Room.   During the show,  Golden Bear Fans will have the opportunity to meet a number of coaches and student-athletes. The other two scheduled dates in Orinda are February 17, 2014 and March 3, 2014.

For the Feb. 3 show, guests include basketball head coaches Mike Montgomery and Lindsay Gottlieb, as well as baseball head coach David Esquer and softball head coach Diane Ninemire. In addition, numerous student-athletes will be on the radio show and in attendance at the even 

The Inside the Locker Room set for the Orinda appearances will be near Barbacoa Mexican Comfort Food. Fans are encouraged to make reservations ahead of time and reference "Inside the Locker Room" when making their reservation. Parking is available at the underground garage beneath the square. 
 
Inside the Locker Room runs from 7:00pm - 8:00pm each Monday and can be heard live on KGO Radio 810 AM and online on TuneIn.  For more information Click Here. 
Orinda Police Department

 

Orinda Police Department arrests include an arrest for Violation of Probation.

 

The Orinda Police Department welcomes Officer Landon Lawson who started on Monday, January 27, 2014. Officer Lawson worked as a Florida Deputy Sheriff for 3 years before moving to California and joining the Office of the Sheriff in 2010.  

 

Crime statistics are currently reported in the Lamorinda Patch, Lamorinda Sun, and News 24/680.

Lamorinda Program Management Committee (LPMC)

Lamorinda Fee and Finance Authority (LFFA)  

 

At the recently held meeting of the Lamorinda Program Management Committee (LPMC)/Lamorinda Fee and Finance Authority (LFFA), they reviewed comments  received from the three communities on the 2014 Lamorinda Action Plan. The plan was reviewed by the Orinda Council on January 21st, 2014 and the Council's comments were presented by Councilmember Worth. The LPMC/LFFA, City Staff members and our consultant will continue discussions during the week.

New Public Works Truck  

 

This week Public Works received a new 2014 Ford F-250 pickup truck to replace an existing pickup that was due for replacement under the City's vehicle replacement policy.



Seniors on the Move 

 

We have another fun-filled season of Orinda Senior Outings

...we hope you can join us!

   

On Tuesday, February 4, 2014 from 9:30am - 3:00pm, Seniors are heading to the de Young Museum in San Francisco. Join in for a docent-led tour of the de Young Museum. Among the exhibits, The Bay Bridge: A Work in Progress collection presents photographs by Peter Stackpole (1913-1997) documenting the bridge's original construction in the 1930s. Lunch is on your own at the museum.
 

Coming up, take a trip to the San Francisco Flower & Garden Show at the San Mateo Event Centre on Thursday, March 20, 2014 from 10:00am - 4:00pm. The gardens demonstrate best practices in conservation and elegance. There is something for everyone; from vegetables and flower gardens, green living, and entertainment. Lunch is on your own at the venue.

 

Join us on Thursday, April 3, 2014 from 9:00am - 11:30am to  learn little known facts about Orinda history and visit several fascinating places important to its heritage. The one-hour tour will feature Orinda Village; the optional two-hour tour will add the Crossroads and feature the Orinda Theatre and 1890's CA & NV Railroad Station.
